1 Pick recipes
Tick the recipes you want. They go on your list, and the next step puts them on days. Amounts are added up across recipes: when one recipe uses a count ("2 medium onions") and another a measure ("1 cup chopped"), they are combined into one line in whole items, rounded up, with the breakdown underneath.
2 Put them on days
Put dinners on the days you will cook them. Each day shows its dishes together as one meal, with a suggested pairing and a badge that says when to order. Order them by freshness if you like, then add the week to your calendar, with the recipe card inside each event. Everything stays in this browser.
This plan's week has already passed.
Freshness
Fresh fish, ground meat and chicken keep only 1 to 2 days in the fridge; steaks and ribs 3 to 5; most vegetables longer. Order by freshness suggests cooking the shortest-lived meals first. It only suggests: you choose, and pinned days never move. The badges on each day also look at delivery days: farm orders arrive on set days, so a day can say Order by ... or Too late.
Assumes you buy fresh at the start of the week; freezing extends it. Numbers are conservative USDA refrigerator ranges (a few are marked as estimates). Package dates and your own judgement come first. Sources are listed in data/freshness.js.
The .ics file has one event per planned day. The event's description is the recipe card: dishes, servings, ingredients (scaled to your servings, with your swaps), numbered steps, your own changes with any cooking-time note, the pairing line and recipe links. With shopping reminders on, it also has an order-by reminder and a delivery-day reminder for each vendor. Each day also has an Add to Google Calendar link (its card is shortened to fit a link; the recipe links are kept). We have checked the .ics with a standards validator. We have not yet tried it in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook, so tell us if an import looks off. Links in the card point to this site as it is hosted today. Everything you pick or plan already appears in the Cart step: there is nothing to send.
Move this week to another device
The share link carries the plan inside the link itself, so nothing is uploaded. Opening it on another device asks before replacing that device's week. Order records, pantry answers and manual swaps stay on the device where you made them.
3 Cart
One list for everything you picked, grouped by where it comes from and when it arrives. Open each vendor, then tell us what you ordered.
Delivery settings
Empty your Walmart cart first. The Walmart link adds to whatever is already in your cart, so items left from earlier tries pile up and inflate the total.

Ordered, waiting to arrive (0)
Have it (0)
Includes pantry staples you have, items you marked bought, and anything you bought elsewhere. Untick to put one back on your list.
Pantry staples (salt, pepper, oil and similar) are marked, and the Pantry check above asks you once. Your choices are remembered on this device. We cannot see your orders at any store: a line only turns to "ordered" or "bought" when you tell us.
